Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025: Record Investments and Key Partnerships

The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, held December 8–9 at Bharat Future City, concluded with historic milestones that underscore the state’s emergence as a global economic powerhouse. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy spearheaded a remarkable initiative, signing over 50 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) representing ₹5.75 lakh crore in investment commitments—a record-breaking figure that positions Telangana among India’s most attractive investment destinations.

This two-day extravaganza, attended by global leaders including former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Nobel Laureate Abhijit Banerjee, and economist Raghuram Rajan, marked a defining moment in the state’s pursuit of its Telangana Rising 2047 vision to become a $3 trillion economy.

Day One: ₹2.43 Lakh Crore in Strategic Commitments

The summit’s opening day set an extraordinary momentum for capital mobilisation, with 35 MoUs worth ₹2.43 lakh crore signed across key sectors. The most significant announcement came from the Brookfield/Axis Ventures consortium, which committed ₹75,000 crore exclusively for developing infrastructure at Bharat Future City, laying the foundation for a world-class smart city that will serve as Telangana’s flagship economic hub.

In the renewable energy sector, Telangana secured several transformative investments. Evren/Axis Energy signed the largest clean-energy deal at ₹31,500 crore, focusing on advanced renewable power generation and grid-stability technologies. Vin Group committed ₹27,000 crore towards integrated renewable projects, next-generation EV infrastructure, and sustainable urban development. MEIL Group added ₹8,000 crore for solar power plants, pumped-storage systems, and electric-vehicle ecosystem expansion.

The aerospace and defence sector attracted ₹19,350 crore in commitments, led by GMR Group with a ₹15,000-crore expansion plan to scale aviation and aerospace manufacturing. Electronics manufacturing received a boost of ₹7,000 crore from Renewsys, Midwest, and Akshat Greentech, targeting PCB manufacturing and specialised electronic components.

Supporting infrastructure also saw substantial interest, including Krishna Power Utilities’ ₹5,000-crore investment in an integrated steel plant and Seetharam Spinners’ ₹3,000-crore proposal for textile manufacturing. Further strengthening the innovation ecosystem, the SIDBI Startup Fund of Funds announced a ₹1,000-crore seed capital infusion, giving a significant push to the state’s startup landscape.

Day 1 Telangana Global Summit Day Two: ₹3.32 Lakh Crore in Mega Deals and AI Infrastructure

JCK Infra announced a massive ₹9,000-crore investment to develop next-generation data centres and an AI-driven township, a project expected to create more than 2,000 specialized jobs. Strengthening its presence in the state, the Adani Group unveiled an additional ₹2,500 crore for a 48 MW green data centre, bringing its total investment in Telangana to ₹12,500 crore, spanning defence manufacturing, renewable energy, and cement production.

The consumer and FMCG sectors also showcased strong investor enthusiasm. Reliance Consumer Products Limited committed ₹1,500 crore to establish a 100-acre multi-product FMCG manufacturing hub, while Vintage Coffee pledged ₹1,100 crore to set up premium freeze-dried coffee production facilities.

Life sciences and pharmaceuticals—long-standing pillars of Telangana’s industrial ecosystem—gained renewed momentum with substantial new investments. Hetero Group announced ₹1,800 crore for pharmaceutical expansion, Bharat Biotech committed ₹1,000 crore for vaccine and biotech development, and Aurobindo Pharma pledged ₹2,000 crore to expand its manufacturing capacity. Collectively, these investments are projected to create tens of thousands of skilled employment opportunities.
